Trans-Pecos Festival in Marfa, TX

keith kreeger

Heading out to Marfa, TX for the Transpecos Music Festival had been on my wishlist for a long time.  I was so glad to finally have the time to head out to El Cosmico and get involved.  This year's music lineup was pretty amazing with Wilco, Fiona Apple, Ron Gallo, Leann Womack and more playing in the West Texas desert.

It was also the perfect chance to enjoy the Lexus LX570 that Lexus of Austin has been letting me try out.  For the past few months I've been a Driven Ambassador and I have been partnering with the amazing team at Lexus of Austin and Lexus of Lakeway.  They've been incredible to work with, and when they heard that I was heading out to Marfa, they made sure that I'd have enough room for all of my work and the materials that I needed for the trip.

The week began with a preview dinner hosted by Don Julio Tequila with food from Lou Lambert and the Bunkhouse team.  We were excited to have our work serve as the base for this beautiful meal.

We were thrilled to host a workshop for Festival Attendees as well.  On Saturday night...after the Texas Playboys baseball game and before Wilco went on, we got our hands dirty with some fine folks and had a blast making some pots.

It was an absolute treat to be out in Marfa with so many friends...Looking forward to next year's Fest.  If you've been before, you know that it's something special that you will block out whatever time you need to get back to.
